Cúram Software Extends Leadership Position in Social Enterprise Management Globally

Substantial Contract Wins, Increased Live Customer Sites and Leadership Investments Further Demonstrate Industry Leading Position

Dublin, Ireland. – March 9, 2010 – Cúram Software, the leading provider of Social Enterprise Management (SEM) software solutions, today announced continued success over the past year demonstrated by substantial contract wins, increased live customer sites and an expanded leadership team. These results continue to underscore Cúram Software’s commitment to providing its market leading, commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) solutions to social enterprises, including human services, workforce services, and social security agencies globally. 

News Highlights

New Customers:

  • New customers in Europe include Hamburg, Germany as a part of their customer-centric modernization project for youth and social welfare services city-wide.  Similarly, in Queensland, Australia, the Department of Communities selected Cúram Software in order to strengthen their service delivery system and focus on delivering prevention and early intervention programs by applying an evidence-based approach. Major initiatives in the United States include the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services and New Jersey Department of Human Services, who selected the Cúram Business Application Suite™ to run social programs and services in order to support their commitment to an enterprise approach across the State. Additionally, California Department of General Services Software License Program established Cúram as an approved provider. In Canada, Cúram Software increased its footprint with the addition of Ontario Ministry of Community and Social Services and the Saskatchewan Ministry of Social Services as customers.

Customer Go-Lives:

  • Customer go-lives include Disability Services Queensland, Australia; Department of Veterans Affairs, Australia; Ministry of Social Development, New Zealand; Workers Compensation Board of British Columbia; and Workplace Safety and Insurance Board of Ontario. In the United States, the Cúram solution was deployed in agencies across New York City, Indiana and Utah. Additionally, just in time for hurricane season, Cúram Software worked with Louisiana department of social services to launch a new emergency food stamp system to deliver benefits more rapidly, improve accuracy and reduce fraud. In the first week of production, nearly 6,000 individuals pre-applied for Disaster Food Stamps and those numbers continue to rise.

Research & Development:

  • Further investments in the Cúram solution were reflected in enhanced features and new modules. Cúram Workers’ Compensation™, a comprehensive and proven claims management solution, manages and automates the complete claims lifecycle from injury to outcome. This solution provides an extensive set of core business process enablement capabilities out-of-the box, while providing the ability to extend those capabilities to meet the unique requirements of each organization.

     

    Cúram Citizen Self-Service™ improves efficiency and service delivery for agencies by providing citizens with secure, online access to services across the social enterprise. It enables citizens to easily find information on programs and services, check eligibility, and conveniently apply for benefits. Other enterprise modules added to the offering set include: Cúram Funded Program Management, Cúram Evidence Broker, Cúram Appeals, Cúram Youth Services and Cúram Child Care.

     

    Most recently, Cúram Software announced Cúram Child Support Enforcement™ to complete the offering set for social enterprises. As a flexible, comprehensive solution designed for agencies managing child support enforcement programs, it reduces operating costs by supporting the administrative responsibilities, automating and streamlining caseload processing, and providing accurate and timely business intelligence. With greater efficiency, agencies can measure and improve family outcomes by giving children the resources they need to ensure their well-being.

Analyst Recognition

  • In August of 2009, Forrester Research published an update to their 2006 Forrester Wave report, titled Market Update: Human And Social Services Enterprise Software which states, “Cúram, sole leader in the 2006 Forrester Wave, maintained strong momentum…Cúram has a huge head start, especially on program-specific functionality, and shows no signs of slowing down its investment in additional features.”

Corporate Investments

  • Supporting recent and future market growth, Cúram Software extended its executive leadership team with the promotion of David Truman to President of EMEA and Executive Vice President of Global Services. Other changes include the addition of a Vice President of Global Market Strategy, a Vice President in India, and a Global Services Executive. In order to support this growing Canadian customer base and strengthen its local presence, Cúram Software will be opening a local office in Ontario, Canada. This expansion in Ontario also allows Cúram Software greater proximity and a reinforced commitment to existing customers.
