Course Description

Eligibility determination and benefit calculation are key business requirements within a Social Enterprise. Cúram Rules and Evidence frameworks implement a customizable and configurable solution to these requirements. This course introduces developers and architects to the Cúram Rules and Evidence frameworks. It provides attendees an opportunity to develop a simple product solution based around these concepts. In addition, it presents a structured approach to interpreting and capturing legislation within Cúram.

Learning Objectives

After completing this course, learners will be able to

  • describe the format and structure of rule sets within Cúram
  • translate legislation into Cúram rule sets
  • describe the concepts underlying Cúram Temporal Evidence
  • use the Cúram Temporal Evidence Generator
  • develop integrated Rules and Evidence solutions

Pre-requisites

Required

Learners must have completed CT520: Fundamentals of the Cúram Enterprise Framework (V5.2) for Developers.

Recommended

In addition, it is recommended that learners have achieved certification on V5.2 of the application either through attending CT520 or by completing the appropriate upgrade courses.

Course Outline

This is a one-week, instructor-led course with a mix of theory and practical work. Both Rules and Temporal Evidence involve several challenging concepts, and these are examined in a structured way throughout the course. Key concepts are introduced and then explored through exercises, before moving on to the next area of interest.

In the practical part of the course, learners implement a rule set for a simple product and some evidence that can be applied to this rule set to determine eligibility. By the end of the week, learners will have integrated these two exercise streams to arrive at a single integrated solution linking a given participant’s case to a particular product application.

Target Audience

This course is aimed at developers and technical architects.
