Workflow Essentials in Cúram V6

Course Code

CTWORK600

Duration

2 Days

Course Description

Workflow supports the automation of business processes and allows work to be routed among individuals, departments, and the automated parts of the system.

Workflow process definitions describe the sequence of activities that make up a business process. Workflow is usually implemented to bring efficiency benefits to the organization.

This course covers the essential elements needed to start the development, implementation, and runtime maintenance of workflow processes using the Cúram Process Definition Tool (PDT). The course also describes how workflow integrates with the rest of the Cúram Business Application Suite™. Further self-study and practice is required to master workflow in Cúram.

Learning Objectives

After completing this course, learners will be able to

  • use the PDT
  • create workflow data
  • configure flow control
  • create automatic activities
  • create manual activities
  • create activity transitions and conditions
  • discuss work allocation strategies
  • configure tasks and notifications

Pre-requisites

Required
Learners must have completed the ten-day classroom course Fundamentals of the Cúram Enterprise Framework (V6) for Developers (CT600).

Recommended
In addition, it is recommended that learners should have achieved certification on V6 of the Cúram application by either attending CT600 or completing the appropriate upgrade courses.

Course Outline

This is a two day instructor-led course with a mix of theory and practical work. Learners are brought through the design and implementation of workflow solutions, starting with the basic concepts and building in complexity through the two days.

Learners gain practical exposure to some of the topics introduced via exercises. As time is a factor on the course, practical work is limited to essential skills. Learners are also shown how to maintain workflows at runtime and debug issues using the Cúram Administration Suite™.

Target Audience

This course is aimed at developers and technical architects.
