Where can I find information about Cúram Instructor-Led Training (ILT) courses?

The training section of the Cúram Software website has details on the all the learning solutions currently offered by Cúram, which include ILT courses. Each Cúram ILT course has a corresponding course outline – a detailed description of what the course contains and the prerequisite knowledge specified for it. These course outlines can also be accessed through the website.

Who is responsible for developing and maintaining Cúram ILT courses?

Cúram ILT courses are developed and maintained by dedicated training team within Cúram called Global Learning Services (GLS). You can contact GLS at learning@curamsoftware.com.

How can I find out which Cúram ILT course is the best match for my individual requirements and job role?

The course outlines defined for every Cúram ILT course will help you to determine which ILT course or courses meet your training requirements. Please contact GLS at learning@curamsoftware.com if you require further information about specific courses, customized training, training delivery, or about our full Learning Solutions Consultancy service, which can identify your training needs and recommend suitable training.

I notice that prerequisites are defined in the course outlines for all Cúram ILT courses. How important are these prerequisites?

The prerequisites defined by Cúram GLS for all ILT courses are essential. Unless attendees can meet these prerequisites, they will not achieve the optimal learning experience. This results in a loss of personal time and money and, ultimately, has a negative impact on the success of the Cúram project they are involved in.

How much do Cúram ILT courses cost?

Several factors can affect the overall price of a Cúram ILT course, such as the cost of hiring equipment and training facilities, the type of course, and so on. Please contact GLS at learning@curamsoftware.com for a quote on a specific course or courses.

I notice from your website that a Cúram ILT course can be public or private. What does this mean?

A private or “on-site” ILT course is hosted by the customer, partner, or contractor. A public course is hosted by GLS and held either in a Cúram Software Learning Centre or in close proximity to a Cúram project.

What are the minimum and maximum class sizes for public ILT courses?

The minimum class size for any public ILT course is six attendees.

The maximum class size for a technical public ILT course is eight attendees, whereas the maximum class size of a business public ILT course is ten attendees. 

What are the minimum and maximum class sizes for ILT private courses?

The maximum class size for private ILT courses is that same as public courses – eight attendees for a technical course and ten attendees for a business course.

However, there is no minimum class size for a private ILT course (business or technical).

Can Cúram ILT courses be customized to meet specific project needs?

Yes. GLS can provide customized ILT courses based on the needs of a specific project or audience type. If a customized course is required, please contact us at learning@curamsoftware.com.

What is included in a customized ILT course?

By definition, the exact details of a customized ILT course will depend on the specific project it is designed for and the degree to which it differs from our standard offerings. Customized courses do, however, comply with the same rigorous and demanding standards applied to all other Cúram ILT courses. These standards include:

• A commitment to focus on your business needs and learning objectives
• A flexible range of options for the course content, agenda, and delivery
• A guarantee to provide the Cúram Software expertise required to prepare and deliver the course 
• An assurance to develop and deliver any training materials to the highest possible standards
• A commitment to respect your privacy and confidentiality, providing you with the opportunity to explore issues specific to your organization without members of other companies being present

Payment and Registration

What happens after I order a Cúram ILT course?

Once you order an ILT course from Cúram, you will receive a proposal that outlines the cost and classroom requirements, if relevant. You can then register for the course to secure it.

How can I register for a Cúram ILT course?

To register for a Cúram ILT course, please contact GLS at learning@curamsoftware.com.

How soon in advance of a Cúram ILT course must I register for it?

You should aim to register for a Cúram ILT course at the earliest possible opportunity, so that you have adequate time to prepare for it and manage your travel arrangements. It is possible to register for a scheduled course at any time before its start date. Do note, however, that you should register several days before this date to ensure that there is enough time to receive the confirmation mail for the course. 

Can I hold or reserve a Cúram ILT course without providing payment?

No. To register for a Cúram ILT course, you must specify a payment method for it.

How can I pay for a Cúram ILT course?

You can pay for a Cúram ILT course using any one of the following four payment methods:

• Purchase order (PO)
• Credit card details (MasterCard, Visa, or American Express) 
• Check 
• Electronic bank transfer

If you chose to pay using a PO, please scan the PO and send the scanned image to learning@curamsoftware.com. If you prefer to pay for an ILT course using a credit card, please send an email to learning@curamsoftware.com and you will be given access to our online secure payment area.

Please DO NOT send any kind of credit card information via e-mail. Cúram Software is not liable should information sent in this way be intercepted by outside parties and used for purposes outside of payment for Cúram ILT courses.

I want to pay for a Cúram ILT course using a PO. What information is required on this PO?

The following details must be included on a PO for a Cúram ILT course:

• Cúram Software listed as the vendor 
• Cúram Software billing address
• PO number 
• Company name and bill-to address 
• Attendee name
• Total order price 
• Signature of purchasing agent (if applicable)

What exchange rate is used for international transactions?

The exchange rate for international transactions is based on the monthly average rate for the first week of the current calendar month.

My company is usually entitled to corporate discounts. How do I find out if I'm entitled to a discount?

If I pay for a Cúram ILT course with a credit card, how will the item be described in the detailed statement that my credit card company sends me?

Your credit card statement will show Cúram Software as the vendor.

Can I bring payment with me to class?

No. You must specify a payment method when registering for the course.

Confirmation and Preparation

How will I know that my enrolment on a Cúram ILT course has been confirmed?

Once payment details have been received for a Cúram ILT course, you will receive e-mail confirmation within three working days. The e-mail will contain information about the start times, location, and other details that allow you to prepare for the course.

I have not received my confirmation e-mail letter. Can you please check on it for me?

You can verify your confirmation by contacting GLS at learning@curamsoftware.com.

Please note, however, that confirmation e-mails are sent only after payment has been received and processed, usually within three days of the payment being made.

Why do I need to complete the online survey prior to a Cúram ILT course?

The aim of completing an online survey prior to a Cúram ILT course is to gather some basic background information about your relevant experience and knowledge of the Cúram application, which provides valuable information about you and other attendees to the course instructor. This helps to ensure that all attendees have a positive training experience on the course itself.

The survey also contains freeform fields where you can notify the instructor about any issues that you want to raise during the upcoming course. Any information gathered in this survey is treated confidentially.

Is there any preparation work required for Cúram ILT courses?

Apart from any prerequisites indicated in the course description, no additional preparation is necessary for a Cúram ILT courses. However, you should ensure that you have read the complete course outline so that you understand the scope of the course.

When do I receive the manuals for a Cúram ILT course?

The course manuals are sent out a week in advance of the start date for the course.

How can I confirm that my class is running as scheduled?

Any changes to your course registration will be communicated to you via email, or phone, or both. Details regarding your class can be found on your Welcome Information.

Unless you received a Class Cancellation Letter, please plan to attend your class as scheduled. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact GLS at learning@curamsoftware.com.

My organization is hosting a private Cúram ILT course. What are the technical requirements for the location at which this course will be held?

For private ILT courses, GLS will send you information that specifies the technical environment requirements related to your training needs. GLS can also provide a full training environment for private courses within the USA, if requested. 

I am registered to attend an upcoming Cúram ILT course but I won’t be able to make it. Are there cancellation fees?

Once you are registered to attend a Cúram ILT course, the GLS Cancellation Policy is activated. GLS recommend that you refer to the policy before registration if you are concerned about cancellation fees, as prospective attendees must adhere to this policy once registration is confirmed.

What happens if Cúram needs to cancel or reschedule an ILT course?

Cúram reserves the right to cancel or reschedule its ILT courses for any reason at anytime. Cancellation liability under such circumstances is limited to the return of the course payment ONLY. Cúram will not reimburse registrants for any other costs including, but not limited to, any travel cancellation fees or penalties, including airfare and hotel costs.

Attending Training

What time do Cúram ILT courses start and end?

The classes for ILT courses generally begin each day at 9:00 AM and end between 4:30 and 5:00 PM. The finishing time on the last day of the course may be earlier, but this is not guaranteed. 

What learning materials do I need to bring with me when attending a public Cúram ILT course?

You do not need to bring any learning materials with you when attending a public ILT course as all required materials are provided in the classroom.

Can I expect to leave early on the last day of a Cúram ILT course?

Cúram instructors will make every effort to complete the course as early as possible on the last day. However, our goal is to ensure that attendees gain the necessary knowledge to successfully build and implement Cúram, and completion times may vary based on the pace of the course.

GLS recommend scheduling Friday or last day flights no earlier than 6.00 PM to avoid any issues or missing important information. Should you decide to leave before the course is completed, GLS are not responsible for providing you with any content, course materials, answers to exercises, and so on that you may have missed.

I can only attend part of a Cúram ILT course. Is this a problem?

To ensure success in certification exams and on Cúram projects, GLS strongly recommend you attend the full ILT course. If you must leave early or miss one or more days, please inform GLS when you register for the course. Unfortunately, it is not possible to offer any discounts under these circumstances as registered seats are limited and cannot be resold.

If you must leave before the course is completed, or miss any days on it, GLS are not responsible for providing you with any content, course materials, answers to exercises, and so on that you may have missed.

Is there a dress code for Cúram ILT courses?

GLS want you to be as comfortable as possible when attending a Cúram ILT course, so please feel free to dress in casual attire.

Can I access the Internet to check my e-mail from the classroom computer when attending a Cúram ILT course?

The classroom may not be equipped with network or Internet access as this is not necessary for completion of the course. In general, you should not depend on having Internet access while attending a Cúram ILT course. Some education centers will however have wireless capacity or Internet kiosks.

Will I have my own computer in the classroom?

Yes, all Cúram ILT courses provide a computer for each attendee.

What are the qualifications of the instructors who deliver Cúram ILT courses?

All the instructors who deliver Cúram ILT courses have been awarded any certification, or certifications, the course maps to. In addition, most instructors have several years experience of working in Cúram, or work closely with colleagues who do. 

Can I buy the training materials used for Cúram ILT courses without attending the course?

No. The training materials used for Cúram ILT courses are not sold separately. You must attend an ILT course to receive the training materials associated with it.

Post-Training Options

Will I have the opportunity to provide feedback on a Cúram ILT course once I have completed it?

Yes. Once the course is completed, attendees are asked to complete, at their convenience, a comprehensive online satisfaction survey, hosted by a third-party survey provider. Any responses to this survey will be maintained in the strictest confidence.

I have just completed a Cúram ILT course that maps to a Cúram certification exam. Do I receive any discount for the exam fee and will I have access to resources that will help me pass the exam?

Yes. Every attendee on a Cúram ILT course that maps to a certification exam is granted one free attempt at the exam, provided this attempt is made with 90 days of completing the ILT course. All course attendees also receive an email that provides access to a Cúram runtime environment during this period.

Are there further training options available to me once I have completed a Cúram ILT course?

Yes. Further training is available through other ILT courses or from the Cúram eLearning Passport™, the web-based training (WBT) solution developed and maintained by GLS. Please see the training section of the Cúram Software website for further details.
