Cúram® v4.5 Supported Prerequisites

This document outlines the supported third party product prerequisites for the lifetime of Cúram v4.5. It is strongly recommended that you read the Cúram Software's Support Policy for Third Party Products document in conjunction with this document as it provides essential information about the support categories and support terminology used by Cúram Software.

Cúram supports the JDK (Java Development Kit) supplied with the WebLogic Server installation, and is forward compatible with higher JDK versions as supported by WebLogic Server.

It is recommended that the JDK supplied with WebLogic Server is upgraded to a version which accommodates the U.S. Daylight Saving Time Changes in 2007. For example, on Windows and Solaris, the Sun JDK 1.5.0_04 should be upgraded to Sun JDK 1.5.0_06.

Cúram supports the Java SDK (Server Development Kit) supplied with the WebSphere Application Server installation, and is forward compatible with higher SDK versions as supported by WebSphere Application Server.

It is recommended that the Java SDK shipped with WebSphere Application Server is upgraded to 1.4.2 SR5 or a later service release. For more information consult WebSphere Daylight Saving Time Fixes. WebSphere Application Server 6.0.2.17 and higher fix packs require Java SDK 1.4.2 SR5.

IBM have issued APARs PK64679and PK64769 to resolve a native memory leak in the Java SDK. This issue has been fixed in Java SDK 1.4.2 SR11 and higher Service Releases.

Note: WebSphere Application Server 6.0.2.13 contains IFIX PK25740.

Note: WebSphere Application Server 6.0.2.17 requires IFIX PK40314.

Customers should contact IBM to open PMRs in order to obtain early IFIXes and/or ++APARs as required.

Integrated Development Environments

Cúram Software does not provide technical support for any Integrated Development Environment (IDE) but it should be possible to use any Java IDE for Cúram development. All support for IDEs should be sought from the relevant software vendor.
